NASA Has Some Bad News For Us About The ‘Planet 9’ Discovery

Only yesterday American astronomers claimed they had strong evidence that there is a ninth planet in our Solar System well beyond Pluto, but it’s fair to say NASA aren’t convinced…

The discovery got stargazers and conspiracy theorists pretty excited, but NASA has said there is simply not enough evidence to prove beyond all doubt that it really exists.

Jim Green – NASA director of planetary science – said the paper predicting the existence of ‘Planet X’ was only ‘the start of a process that could lead to an exciting result’.

He said:

It is not, however, the detection of a new planet. It’s too early to say with certainty if there’s a so-called Planet X out there. What we are seeing is an early prediction.

The planet is believed to be about 10 times as massive as Earth and would be large enough to become the ninth planet of our solar system.

Despite the fact it has yet to be seen by scientists, they located it by watching the way dwarf planets in the outer solar system move around it and their orbits seem to be effected by something huge, yet hidden.

Conspiracy theorists claimed the prediction was evidence which backs up claims that a planet called ‘Nibiru’ was out there in the solar system and on a collision course with Earth.

NASA have also been accused of covering up its existence, although it remains unclear why they’d bother doing this.

Despite NASA pouring cold water over the claims, there’s no reason why a ninth planet couldn’t exist. Only time will tell…
