Naughty Boy and Kyla have both had a busy year, ending with a feel-good collaboration in the form of Should’ve Been Me, aired exclusively on UNILAD.
In the spirit of goodwill, the pair of R ‘n’ B artists have shared their Christmas playlists with us too.
This 10-track compilation is enough to see you through until Boxing Day.
George Michael – December Song
Kicking things off with Kyla, who featured in Drake’s One Dance earlier in the year, the songstress begins with December Song. She said: “This song is just so beautiful and makes me cry. The video is really good and very heartfelt.”
Paul McCartney – Wonderful Christmas Time
Kyla picked The Beatles’ Paul McCartney, whose Christmas number one is synonymous with family festive fun. She said: “It just gets me so excited for Christmas; it’s a classic!”
Mariah Carey – All I Want For Christmas
Kayla is not alone in loving this festive track, saying: “This always has to be played when the Christmas season comes… It’s a sing along tune. I love it and I grew up listening to this and remember singing it with all my friends when I was at school.”
Destiny’s Child – 8 Days of Christmas
Kyla rightly asserts: “You’ve gotta love a bit of Destiny’s Child, especially their Christmas songs…”
Wham! – Last Christmas
George Michael fronted this broken Christmas romance tune, complete with video narrative. Kyla said: “I just had to choose this song! I love it!”
Mariah Carey – All I Want For Christmas (So So Def remix)
Rounding off the Christmas party proceedings is producer, Naughty Boy, who opts for a different take on the Mariah classic featuring Bow Wow.
Chris Rea – Driving home for Christmas
Naughty Boy chose the classic Chris Rea tune, reminding us that Christmas is all about reuniting with family to cerebrate peace and togetherness.
Shakin’ Stevens – Merry Christmas Everyone
The producer rounds things off with Leona Lewis, channelling every kid in the land on Christmas Eve in One More Sleep.
Hopefully, after contributing such a happy-clappy Christmas playlist, Naughty Boy will be transferred over to Santa’s list of good boys.
Merry Christmas to one and all.
