Capcom have revealed some saucy new details for Resident Evil Umbrella Corps, the upcoming third person zombie shooter set in the world of Resident Evil.
Multi-Mission mode will support up to six players in a match made up of five rounds. The first to win three is the winner. Capcom are clearly looking to emphasise the fast paced undead slaying action that Resident Evil isn’t known for, as each round has a time limit of three minutes.
But what makes Multi-Mission mode really interesting is the fact that each round will cycle through eight very different rule-sets at random. For example, in one round you might only get points by killing a certain player, while in the next round you’ll be fending off the other team as you fight to maintain possession of a briefcase full of top secret junk.
There’s also your standard death match, a king of the hill type mode called Domination, a mode where you have to kill zombies and nab their DNA samples (plus a similar one with stronger zombies). Finally, Collar War sees you taking the collars from downed enemies, as you attempt to get your own fallen teammate’s collars to stop the other side scoring points.
You can check out a video of the action below. It sounds like an interesting enough way to keep matches fresh and keep players on their toes, we’ll just have to see how it turns out.
Resident Evil Umbrella Corps is coming to PS4 and PC in May 2016, but if you can’t wait till then, you can have a play on it this weekend (March 5 – 6) at the PC Gamer Weekender, London.
