Crystal Dynamics’ Rise of the Tomb Raider was steeped in criticism from the outset. Being announced as a timed exclusive for the Xbox One, it’s fought its way back with exceptional gameplay footage and actual tomb raiding sections, something the first Tomb Raider lacked.
In a new trailer uploaded to the Xbox YouTube account, we see Lara in a variety of heart-racing and claustrophobic environments – more than enough to test the metal of a seasoned tomb raider.
‘Descent Into Legend’ also shows us some extended scenes of one of Lara’s new gadgets, the grappling hook, as well as all the puzzles and danger that fans of the franchise have come to expect. Shooting a snow leopard in the face? Check. Jumping off vertigo-inducing cliffs? Eat it for breakfast. Facing down a barrage of flaming arrows? You better believe it.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is releasing as an Xbox One and Xbox 360 timed exclusive on 10 November, coming to PC and Playstation late next year.
