It’s shaping up to be the greatest video game-based-on-an-anime-based-on-a-manga we’ve seen in recent years, and now we have our first look at what Attack On Titan will play like.
Since being announced at Gamescom in August, information on the Attack On Titan game has been pretty sparse. Developers Koei Tecmo gave a teaser trailer at Gamescom, and some stills were released, but the Dynasty Warriors devs haven’t shown any actual gameplay until now.
As many predicted, it seems like the game will follow the Dynasty Warriors pattern of moving between set-piece battles with the giant titans. The combat looks quite simplistic and timing based as you avoid the enemies heavy hitting attacks.
The voice-over says:
“…That day, the human race remembered the terror of being dominated by them and the shame of being held captive in a birdcage. With Omni-directional Mobility…We’ll drive out…The Titans! Attack on Titan.
Attack On Titan is a Playstation exclusive and will be coming out this winter in Japan, with a 2016 release planned for the rest of the world.
