When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life gives you several feet of snow, make an igloo and charge people to sleep in it.
One business savvy New Yorker did precisely that in the wake of the recent blizzard caused by Storm Jonas, and he made the igloo available to rent on Airbnb for the price of $200 (£140) per night.
It certainly looks…cosy.
The ‘Boutique winter igloo’ in Brooklyn was reportedly described on Airbnb as ‘Dripping with ingenuity and alt-lifestyle aura lays the Snopocalypse of 2016’s most desirable getaway.’
According to the Daily Mail, the description also read: ‘Hand-crafted, and built using only natural elements – we’re offering the experience of a life time in this chic dome-style bungalow for you and bae.’
Sadly Airbnb has removed the listing, so if you happen to be in New York you’ll have to build your own igloo now.
Absolutely gutting.
