There was something very special about Katy Perry’s One Love Manchester stage outfit that went unnoticed by a lot of people.
Katy, who performed ‘Part of Me’ and ‘Roar’ during the event walked out on stage in a white dress and long, feathered coat.
But, unknown to many, her white dress was adorned with the photographs of the victims of the terror attack, which saw 22 people killed at the end of an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena on Monday, May 22.
The pop superstar spoke to fans during her performance. She said:
I’m so honoured and humbled to be here tonight, to share and spread love. Thank you Ariana [Grande] for your incredible courage and strength, and for inviting me to participate.
It’s not easy to always choose love, is it? Especially in moments like these, right? It can be the most difficult thing to do. But love conquers fear, and love conquers hate, and this love that you choose will give you strength, and it’s our greatest power.
Katy Perry was just one of the artists in a star-studded line-up including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Liam Gallagher, Miley Cyrus and Coldplay.
More than £2 million was raised for the victims of the attack and their families – bringing the total to more than £10 million overall.
An amazing tribute.
