In North Korea news, the government has accused U.S troops of taunting and mocking their soldiers with ‘disgusting acts’.
The American-led UN command has dismissed claims that soldiers in the border village of Panmunjom have been pointing their fingers making strange noises and pulling ‘disgusting’ facial expressions, reports The Independent.
According to the Yonhap news agency, North Korea also accused American soldiers of encouraging South Korean troops to aim their guns at the Korean People’s Army (KPA) at the Oryonggye guard post.
In a statement, U.S troops were warned to stop the ‘hooliganism’ or face ‘dog’s death any time any place’.
According to the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), a North Korean spokesman said:
The U.S imperialists and their stooges should not forget even for a moment what a miserable end they will meet as they recklessly act in the area at the risk of death.
Spokesman for the U.N command, Christopher Bush, said the allegations were ‘unsubstantiated.’
Unsurprisingly, this is not the first time accusations of ‘unruly behaviour’ have been made between the opposing armies.
Back in 2006, American troops claimed North Korean soldiers spat across the border, made throat slashing gestures and flipped the bird following a nuclear bomb test.
