After a huge earthquake was detected in south-east Asia, the North Korean government has claimed they successfully tested a Hydrogen bomb capable of being loaded onto a missile.
If true Pyongyang’s possession of a workable hydrogen bomb is a huge leap forward in North Korea’s nuclear capability.
The statement released, pictured below, said:
The H-bomb test was carried out to examine and confirm the accuracy and credibility of the power control technology and internal structural design newly introduced into manufacturing H-bomb to be placed at the payload of the ICBM.
The fact this bomb is a ‘H-bomb for ICBM’ means a massively destructive weapon can be launched on missiles that are definitely capable of hitting Japan.

Japan’s defence minister now believes North Korea possess a nuclear weapon with ‘capability significantly exceeding the last one’.
China’s Earthquake Administration recorded 6.3-magnitude earthquake overnight in North Korea which they believed to be a ‘suspected explosion’, reports the Guardian.
The South Korea Meteorological Administration has estimated the nuclear blast was between 50 to 60 kilotons, more than five times stronger than North Korea’s previous nuclear test in 2016.
This is North Korea’s sixth nuclear test and seems to be their biggest yet.
