If you’ve been paying attention to the news this week you’ll no doubt be aware North Korea have been launching missiles over the Pacific Ocean like a petulant child throwing rocks in a lake.
However, the Hermit Kingdom have now revealed their true intention – unsurprisingly they want to build a missile capable of hitting the US mainland in an effort to bring their military might into equilibrium with America’s.
According to the official Korean Central News Agency tyrant, Kim Jong-un, is the one behind this genius plan.
The Guardian report, Kim said:
Our final goal is to establish the equilibrium of real force with the US and make the US rulers dare not talk about military option for the DPRK.
The dictator then went on to say his nation were close to completing its first viable nuclear weapon, adding his people were dedicated to finishing the task.
On Friday, North Korea successfully fired a Hwasong-12 intermediate-range ballistic missile over Japan in response to a new round of UN sanctions.
Worryingly, it was the furthest-ever successful missile flight carried out by North Korea.
America’s Pacific Command confirmed the rocket was an intermediate range ballistic missile but added the weapon did not pose a threat to North America or to Guam, the US territory Kim has previously threatened to destroy.
The UN Security Council condemned the launch as ‘highly provocative’ and President Trump has reportedly scheduled meetings with the leaders of both Japan and South Korea.
