A deputy UN ambassador has warned ‘a nuclear war may break out any moment.’
North Korea’s deputy UN ambassador Kim In-ryong told the General Assembly the situation on the Korean peninsula ‘has reached the touch-and-go point’ and defended despot Kim Jong-un’s huge military arsenal.
Kim In-ryong, speaking to the UN General Assembly’s disarmament committee, claimed North Korea is the only country in the world that has been subjected to ‘such an extreme and direct nuclear threat’ from the United States since the 1970s, and his so-called Supreme Leader has the right to possess nuclear missiles in self-defence.
The deputy criticised what he called a US plan to stage a ‘secret operation aimed at the removal of our supreme leadership’, reports the Telegraph.
Kim Jong-un has previously used state propaganda channels to claim:
The entire US mainland is within our firing range and if the US dares to invade our sacred territory even an inch it will not escape our severe punishment in any part of the globe.
The rather one-sided claims come after a long drawn out public pissing contest between President Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un, and increasingly tough UN sanctions.
After Pyongyang fired a ballistic missile into the Pacific Ocean over Japan, the nineteenth this year, Kim Jong-un provoked a serious international reaction, receiving condemnation from his neighbours in South Korea, as well as from NATO and the UN.
Not far behind, President Trump weighed in, addressing hundreds of Air Force personnel at Joint Base Andrews.
His message, which was delivered while standing in front of an American flag and a B-2 stealth bomber – capable of starting a nuclear war – was as subtle as a wrecking ball – or a ballistic missile.
Trump had some fighting talk for Kim, in the latest round of Whose Nuclear Warhead Is Bigger?:
Nothing inspires more confidence in our friends, or strikes more fear in the hearts of our enemies, than the sight of American war planes on the horizon.
Our aviators have given America total dominance of the air and space no matter where we fly.
Now when our enemies hear the F-35’s engines, when they’re roaring overhead, their souls will tremble and they will know the day of reckoning has arrived.

Meanwhile, National Security Advisor, H.R. McMaster, told reporters at the White House that ‘North Korea remains one of the world’s most urgent and dangerous security problems’.
South Korea’s President, Moon Jae-in, added dialogue between neighbours is ‘impossible in a situation like this’, and the South has power, enough to destroy Kim Jong-un’s northern state ‘beyond recovery’.
American congress has since been warned how a newly-developed weapon from North Korea has the power to wipe out a vast proportion of the American population – 90 per cent to be exact – within a year.

Kim Jong-un – amid calling the American president a ‘mentally-deranged dotard‘ has more recently said Trump has lit ‘the wick of war’ and the country has vowed to ‘settle the final score with a hail of fire, not words.’
What was that about those in glass houses?
