If you’re going to have a baby, chances are you’re going to want a name that trumps all other baby names.
So if you’ve happened to have had and named a baby within the last year (or just want to see where your name ranks), the official list of best baby names has been revealed.
And the most popular names have Oliver and Amelia topping the list for the third year running.
Amelia has been the most popular girls’ name in England and Wales since 2011 while Oliver has been in the top spot since 2013, the Telegraph reports.
The second and third most popular boy’s names are Jack and Harry respectively. Meanwhile, the second and third spots among baby girls go to Olivia and Emily respectively.

Jack, at number two, has been one of the most popular boys’ name in England and Wales since 1995.

10. Poppy
If you’re called George, seems like you’ve got a good name – it’s shot from 7th place last year to 4th year this year. Bad news for those of you named Poppy though, the name has seen quite a big decrease, dropping from 5th place last year to just 10th place this year.
The list’s publication follows recent research which found close to a fifth of parents regret the name they give their child.
Nearly a third of those surveyed said they regretted their child’s first name within the first six weeks of birth.
