The wedding was that of John Elledge, and bride Whitney Alexander, and instead of the normal free bar and DJ, they decided to have a weed bar. Yeah, you read that right. A weed bar.
Elledge is a professional cannabis cultivator, so to him it made sense to have the bar and a budtender – who of course knew his stuff – for the guests.
The wedding was held on private property, making it totally legal to have the weed bar.
Elledge spoke to local news outlet KGM and claimed:
We were shocked by how much people loved it. I’m still getting a couple of texts a day from guests who enjoyed the weed tent.
Jessica Hill Photography State law may have limited them to eight ounces of pot in total, but there were 13 different varietals, and from the footage, not to mention the reports from the guests, it seems that everyone enjoyed themselves.
And why wouldn’t you? It must have been the most chilled wedding of the century.
