One father from China could well be the best dad ever, after spending a year making his son a life-sized version of Bumblebee from the Transformers film saga.
The yellow robot is a direct replica of the beloved movie character, and was made after Wang Liansheng gave his son a toy version of the transformer, and was asked for a bigger robot by his little boy.
That got the cogs in the shipyard welder’s mind turning, and he eventually decided to make his son’s dreams come true.
It took a year to weld, but the transformer is now five meters tall and three meters wide.
The transformer has created quite a stir in Jiangsu, the village where Wang and his son live, and is not the only one of its kind in China.
One was made in 2011 by a welder in central China, from scrap car and motorcycle parts, and another welder made one back in 2012, that stood at six and a half meters tall and was made from three cars.
Amazing stuff.
