Osama Bin Laden’s Son Vows Revenge On U.S. In Chilling Message

Osama bin Laden’s son has vowed to take revenge for the assassination of his father.

In his audio message, ‘We Are All Osama’, Hamza bin Laden promised to continue the militant group’s fight against the United States and its allies in a 21-minute speech, according to the SITE Intelligence Group, an organisation that tracks white supremacist and jihadi organisations online.

Hamza said in the message:

We will continue striking you and targeting you in your country and abroad in response to your oppression of the people of Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia and the rest of the Muslim lands that did not survive your oppression.

As for the revenge by the Islamic nation for Sheikh Osama, may Allah have mercy on him, it is not revenge for Osama the person but it is revenge for those who defended Islam.

The late al-Qaeda leader had been the world’s most wanted man since the 9/11 terror attacks on the U.S. in 2001. He was eventually tracked down to a hideout in Abbottobad, Pakistan, and killed in a raid by U.S. special forces on May 2, 2011.

Documents recovered from bin Laden’s compound were published by the United States last year and alleged that his men tried to reunite the militant leader with Hamza, who had at the time been held in Iran under house arrest.

Hamza, who is now in his mid-twenties, was with his father in Afghanistan before the 9/11 attacks and spent time with him in Pakistan before Osama’s death, the Independent reports.

Introduced by the group’s new chief Ayman al-Zawahiri in an audio message last year, Hamza provides a younger voice for the organisation who have so far struggled to inspire militants around the world.

Bruce Riedel of independent research company Brookings Institution said:

Hamza provides a new face for Al-Qaeda, one that directly connects to the group’s founder. He is an articulate and dangerous enemy.

He is understood to be aged 24.
