Paris Hilton/Instagram/GettyParis Hilton has announced she is engaged to her boyfriend Chris Zylka.
The pair, who first met at an Oscars party eight years ago, are believed to have reconnected two years ago, before making their relationship official in February last year.
And now Leftovers actor Zylka has done the honourable thing and popped the question while they’re on a ski trip in Aspen, Colorado. How lovely.
Paris confirmed the news on her Twitter account this afternoon (Tuesday, 2nd January):
I am so excited to be engaged to the love of my life and my best friend. I have never felt so happy, safe and loved. He is perfect for me in every way and showed me that fairytales really do exist!

She wrote:

The socialite told PEOPLE:
I am so excited to be engaged to the love of my life and my best friend I have never felt so happy, safe and loved. He is perfect for me in every way and showed me that fairytales really do exist!
I was so excited and surprised! I immediately said yes!
The ring was so gorgeous and sparkling. I was shaking as I put it on. It is the most beautiful ring that I have ever seen!
Zylka added:
Paris is the most beautiful and incredible woman both inside and out. I feel like the luckiest man in the world to be marrying my dream girl. I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together.
The pair were posing for a photo on the slopes after enjoying a spot of lunch in the ski town when Zylka got down on one knee. Hilton said she was ‘so excited and surprised’ and ‘immediately said yes’.
She said:

According to TMZ, this is ‘at least’ the second time Paris has been engaged, and ‘possibly’ her third. She was reportedly engaged to Jason Shaw, and was definitely engaged to Paris Latsis. But she has never actually made it down the aisle.
Zylka, meanwhile, broke off his engagement to Hanna Beth resulting in a messy break-up in 2015.
