‘Surrender or die’ is what the rebels in the remaining 2 per cent of Aleppo have been told to do. Surrender or die.
As the barrel bombs, cluster bombs and parachute bombs reign down over this ancient city, reducing it to no more than scorched Earth, the airstrikes also take with them countless civilians.
Mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters – whose houses are shattered by the bombing – are having their bodies crushed beneath the rubble. It is simply a massacre and one many believe the UN has failed miserably to act upon.
.. Why all this?
Who benefits from this in the killing of these innocents ?
???

Airstrikes aside, the UN has claimed they have evidence of 81 civilians being ‘shot dead on the spot’ by regime forces. More specifically, regime forces have been entering civilian’s homes and killing everybody inside no matter whether they are men, women, or children, reports the BBC.
Civilians, not rebels, not radicals, but civilians like you and me who just through the unfortunate circumstances of their birth have been driven into a world of unforgiving war.

Backed by the Russians – who are the biggest seller of arms to Syria and who have also had a naval base in Tartus, Syria since the early seventies – the regime continues to bombard Aleppo.
Speaking to UNILAD, Yasmine Nahlawi of the Syrian Rethink Rebuild Society, said:
This is a result of five years with no action. The situation in Aleppo has not just began now, it has been going on for five years and the civilians of Aleppo have had no help from the outside world.
If there is any humanity left in the world, it should work to stop Russian and Assad bombardment and to allow civilians a safe-passage out of the city.
But let’s remind ourselves of what the rebels want.
The current climate in Aleppo is a direct result of the Syrian Civil War which began in 2011 with President Bashar al-Assad’s refusing to stand down from his role despite nationwide protests.
Instead Assad had the Syrian Army violently fight back against those who took part in protests against his presidency leading many members of the army to become disillusioned before going AWOL and forming groups such as the Free Syrian Army and the Syrian Democratic Forces.
Although the situation in Aleppo is extremely complex, with numerous groups who all have slightly differing views, the bulk of the groups in Aleppo simply want a democratic Syria and one where every Syrian is treated like a first class citizen.
However just as in 2011, and the years that have followed, Assad is responding violently – blowing all of those who go against him into mere nothingness with any weapons he can get his hands on.
This video was recorded earlier last week showing chemical warfare being used in Aleppo:
OGN requests everyone to share this video. A few hours ago regime forces hit the Firdous neighborhood in Aleppo with a chlorine attack. In the video you can clearly see the yellow green mist close to the ground. OGN is in Syria to help you understand actual events on the ground and we NEED you to spread this video so EVERYONE will understand who is who.

Not too long ago the United Nations described the situation in Aleppo as a ‘complete meltdown of humanity’ yet nothing has been done and now it is simply too late.
Our thoughts go out to all of those still in Aleppo as this massacre continues.
Will Man ever learn not to destroy one another?
