People Donate To Kylie Jenner To Make Her World’s Youngest Female Billionaire

It was recently reported that Kylie Jenner is on track to overtake Mark Zuckerberg as the youngest ever ‘self-made billionaire’.

Forbes magazine made the revelation after unveiling the cover for their August issue, which featured Kylie with the headline ‘America’s Women Billionaires’. According to them, Kylie is worth an astonishing $900 million thanks to her cosmetics line.

Once she hits $1 billion, she will overtake the Facebook founder as the youngest-ever self-made billionaire.

And some of her fans want to help the 20-year-old on her way there.

As Business Insider points out, fans are banding together to try and raise the $100 million left for Kylie to become a billionaire, because $900 million just isn’t good enough for some people.

With his tongue firmly in his cheek (I hope), Josh Ostrovsky, aka The Fat Jew, set up the GoFundMe page.

Kylie Jenner was on the cover of Forbes Magazine today for having a net worth of 900 million dollars, which is heartbreaking. I don’t want to live in a world where Kylie Jenner doesn’t have a billion dollars. WE MUST RAISE 100 MILLION DOLLARS TO HELP HER GET TO A BILLION, PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD, THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.

Amazingly, some people have gone along with it, seemingly believing Kylie does actually need the funds and is deserving of their donations (or they are in on the joke and don’t mind throwing a few dollars at it).

The GoFundMe page has so far raised $280 of its $100 million goal, in just one day. $100 of that was from one person, so it has a long way to go. Though the whole point of the thing is that Kylie is the youngest billionaire so, y’know, time’s ticking guys.

Some people, however, didn’t quite get the whole thing.

Sorry this is #NotImportant at all. If you’re going to donate money why not choose one of the hundreds of WORTHY charities that could really use your help.

Some people, however, restored my faith in humanity and recognised the post for what it was:

people: this is SATIRE.

You guys do realize he’s being facetious right? IF others are stupid enough to contribute to this it’s on them.

With or without help from her ‘fans’, Kylie is set to become a billionaire pretty soon, thanks to her cosmetics range.

According to Forbes:

Another year of growth will make her the youngest self-made billionaire ever, male or female, trumping Mark Zuckerberg, who became a billionaire at age 23.

However, the ‘self-made’ tag has been a bone of contention for some, who argue Kylie may just had some help after being born into her notorious family.

For example:

erm. being born into extreme wealth & instant fame is the exact opposite of “self made”

And another:

“Self-made”? Really? It’s easy to become a billionaire when you’re parents are millionaires…It’s called generational wealth + nepotism.

Call me tight, but I don’t think I’ll be donating to the crowd funder any time soon.
