Earlier today many media organisations, including ourselves, reported that a comedian had been thrown off a Delta Airlines flight simply for speaking Arabic.
However now it appears the tides have turned as numerous Twitter users and eagle eyed folk from across the globe have noticed some suspicious similarities in the work of Adam Saleh.
The shocking video of him being removed from a plane spread like wildfire on the Internet, but now it appears that the clip might be fake and that Saleh only went onto the flight with the intention of making a scene and getting kicked off.
Although it is not known for sure if the recent video was staged, the fact that Adam has done similar things numerous times in the past certainly rids the clip of a certain level of legitimacy.
In the video, Adam said:
Guys we spoke a different language on the plane and now we are getting kicked out. Now we are getting kicked out. We are getting kicked out because we spoke a different language. This is 2016… 2016!
He explained, while being escorted off the plane, that other passengers reported ‘feeling uncomfortable’ after hearing him speak Arabic.
The tweet was then retweeted over 500,000 times – at the time of writing.
Although it remains a mystery whether or not Adam was removed from the Delta Airlines flight merely for speaking Arabic the numerous videos of a similar nature certainly douse the authenticity of the clip in sceptical darkness.
