PewDiePie Has A Message For Overly Enthusiastic Fans

PewDiePie has a simple message for fans, and it seems pretty weird that it’s something that needs to be said.

Don’t just turn up at the guy’s house.

As one of – if not the –biggest YouTube star around, PewDiePie obviously has found himself in a position of fame, which only continues to grow as YouTube evolves.

I imagine fame and fortune are awesome, although I’ll never know for sure until Nick Cage returns my calls and we can finally start filming the buddy cop movie set in space that I’ve been writing all these years.

Of course, one very real downside of being famous is that you can often (wrongly) be viewed as public property. PewDiePie is constantly faced with fans tracking down his address and turning up – understandably, the guy’s had enough.

So he recorded a short video, which you can watch below.

PewDiePie says in the video:

I’ve even had parents coming over with their kids. I’ve had people yell outside my house. I’ve had school-classes come outside. Just because you found my address doesn’t mean you found an invitation for you to come over.

The YouTuber stresses that he’s very grateful for his fans, but that he still has a right to privacy, and even the most devout PewDiePie admirers should respect that – you can’t say fairer than that, really.

I imagine this is a very small minority of fans, but if you are in that minority: Stop doing it – you’re freaking everybody out.
