For those of us who’ve been lucky enough to travel to the far-flung corners of the Earth, it’s undeniable that long-haul flights are an absolute nightmare.

Whether it’s the uncomfortable chair seemingly made of concrete, rusted springs and glass, the cramped conditions, or the guy sat next to you, loudly chomping and slurping through his in-flight meal, there’s nothing to like about sitting on a plane for hours.

Thank God then for flight attendants, who make flying that little bit more bearable, mostly through serving alcohol – and spare a thought for these hard working folks who have to put up with this bullshit for a job.

However, the folks over at Imgur have revealed a little known secret – flight attendants have their own calm oasis in the desert of your bullshit, a hidden room where they can sleep on long-haul flights.

Apparently, attendants on Boeing 777 and 787 airliners have access to a hidden stairway behind the cockpit that takes the crew to a secret bedroom, where they can get some much needed rest after putting up with drunken holiday makers and crying babies for hours on end.

While the rooms are a bit sparse – most only have a mattress and curtain for the crew to rest on – the more luxurious airliners have entertainment systems built in to their rooms.
