Piers Morgan Calls Out Emily Ratajkowski For Flashing

Piers Morgan is many things; an antagonistic journalist, an author and a man desperately trying to remain relevant off the back of more successful people.

Morgan’s latest attention-seeking ploy directly targeted 25-year-old Emily Ratajkowski – a model, actress and former fine art student at UCLA.

Joy of joys, 51-year-old Piers is belittling and undermining Ratajkowski’s right to wear whatever she pleases all in the name of feminism.

Piers took to Twitter this morning to berate Ms. Ratajkowski’s Golden Globes red carpet dress choice, because unfortunately the freedom of expression we all hold dear also entitles Morgan to pass on style advice that literally no one has ever asked for.

While news from inside the Golden Globes mostly constitutes praise and adulation for another brilliant year in Hollywood – and the occasional politically-motivated message courtesy of screen acting legend, Meryl Streep – Piers instead has chosen to single out one woman and spread a negative message about her appearance instead…

Really mature, Piers.

Out of the hundreds of photographs of Emily, Piers has sought out an image in which her underwear is on show and tweeted the photograph.

He captioned it:

Here’s @emrata deliberately flashing her knickers on #globes red carpet. Another triumph for feminist empowerment!

Emily demonstrated the split in an Eli Saab canary yellow satin dress – something she was no doubt contractually obliged to do for the fashion house, in exchange for the pleasure of wearing the couture gown.

Piers tweeted his ignorant sentiment for all the world to see, presumably in a ploy to embarrass Ratajkowski or – even more sinister – to coerce her into covering her body.

His tweet is an insult to the very idea of ‘female empowerment’ Piers claims to be upholding – and an insult to the the diversity of the human form; something we should all embrace no matter what shape or size it comes in.

It’s not the first time Piers has singled out Emily. Responding to a tweet about a nude photo shoot in Harper’s Bazaar, Piers asked Emily if she needed him to buy her some clothes:

Emily, taking care of business, immediately fired back at Piers pointing out his obvious desire for media attention.

Sadly, Piers couldn’t let the feud lie and refused to accept that a female his junior in years had taken him down.

To add insult to injury, his tirade simply came across as utterly, utterly creepy.

Yet today – when the tube strikes bring London to standstill, the NHS is under fire from malnourished patients and the Deputy Minister for Northern Ireland resigns – a man who is currently the U.S editor-at-large for Mail Online is still caught up in the curious case of Emily Ratajkowski’s knickers.

It is unclear if Piers is offended by Emily’s pants, her body or Emily herself.

The only thing that seems clear to me is that Piers Morgan is many things… A slightly obsessive creep, perhaps, but a feminist? I don’t think so.

His manner of insulting a woman in the name of gender equality to further his own brand of disrespectful journalism is not only unkind, but inhuman.

His tweet is another triumph for misogyny masquerading as so-called righteous deliverance from the empowering sexuality and success of a young woman.
