Every Sunday, millions of viewers flocked to watch David Attenborough and his team of BBC cameramen bring the animal kingdom into our living rooms.
We cried witnessing the massacre of Hawksbill turtles, laughed at a swimming sloth and sat on the edge of our seats as iguanas and snakes faced-off in a high speed race for survival.
But now Planet Earth II has been given an hilarious human makeover thanks to YouTuber Matt Amys.
For those of us who can’t cope with the brutality commanded by Mother Nature, Amys has dubbed human screams over the animalistic noises made by the stars of the show throughout the TV series.
From the muffled yells of the bobcat who face-planted into a snow drift to the operatic squeals of the crocodile being captured by a hungry jungle leopard, this video brings an element of comedy to the cruel animal kingdom.
The perfectly-timed screams allow us to look back upon the best TV show of 2016 (possibly all time) with some fuzzy, festive rose-tinted spectacles.
If you’re looking for the real deal, though, you can still catch the full series on BBC iPlayer and on the BBC‘s YouTube channel, and for those of you wondering, Planet Earth III will be back on our screens before 2026.
Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal.
