The tongue-in-cheek post in question read:
The Warsop Neighbourhood Policing Team would like to apologise to the residents of Warsop and surrounding area if there is a sudden price increase in the cost of Cannabis.
This is due to 190 plus Cannabis plants being located at an address in Warsop today. If the owner of the plants wishes to claim them please get in contact with us.

Many of those in the Warsop community have loved the post, praising the police both for their detective work and for their sense of humour.
One chuckled, ‘Wow such a sassy post’, while another said, ‘fantastic job. Keep up the great work’.
However, others have taken umbrage with the officers’ assertion that ‘drugs ruin lives’, noting that cannabis is far from a class A drug.
Indeed, some people have argued cannabis isn’t as dangerous as some legal substances such as alcohol, with others remarking on the many supposed benefits of cannabis.
One person commented:
Murders, assaults, burglaries, car thefts go unsolved yet they feel victorious about a grow being turned over! Focus on major crime. Legalise cannabis. Then maybe sick people could get the benefits without being criminalised…
Another scoffed:
Jeez…hardly class A drugs is it. Could actually do with some of this to treat my fibro(!)

Cannabis is classified as a class B drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. However, there are many who believe it should be legalised for recreational purposes.
