Police at the cordon of the south side of London Bridge have confirmed that there is ‘more than one fatality’.
A van mowed down a number of pedestrians on London Bridge this evening, and two other incidents were reported throughout London.
Witnesses have said they heard police firing into Brindisa Tapas in Borough Market, not far away from the earlier incident on the bridge.

Another witness at the scene of the London Bridge attack reported hearing ‘tremendous gunfire’ that lasted for ‘quite a few minutes’.
BBC reporter Holly Jones was on the bridge at the time of the incident and gave BBC News an eye-witness report, saying the van was driven by a man and was “probably travelling at about 50 miles an hour”.
