With Christmas fast approaching, kids around the world are being as good as they can be in hope that they aren’t on Santa’s naughty list…
But one Santa Claus in Brazil was a lot more than naughty then nice.
Police are on the hunt for a Sao Paulo Santa Claus who thought he’d bag himself an early Christmas present… by stealing a helicopter.
The guy rented the aircraft late on Friday from an air taxi service at the Campo Marte airport in Sao Paulo as part of a Black Friday “surprise,” the Sao Paulo state security secretariat said on Saturday.
In a turn of events that sound Grand Theft Auto-esque, the Santa forced the pilot to fly to a small farm outside of Sao Paulo, where they met a third person. The pilot was then tied up and the two thieves flew away- reports say.
The pilot managed to finally escape after several hours and alert the police, but since the audacious theft there has still been no sign of the Robinson model 44 helicopter, authorities said.
Apparently this isn’t even an isolated case of Santa’s behaving badly either.
A Santa Claus in the U.S was dreaming of a green Christmas by giving bundles of weed to customers at a restaurant in Monterey Peninsula, south of San Jose. Genius.
One thing’s for sure- the perpetrators will definitely be on the real Santa’s naughty list…
