Police are hunting two men who pushed a fisherman into a lake in Coventry in a completely unprovoked attack.
The cruel footage was posted to YouTube after the second man filmed the assault and egged on his friend to sneak up behind the fisherman and shove him into the water.
The video, filmed at Swanswell Pool in the Hillfields area of Coventry, appeared online on Wednesday.
The original video has since been removed from YouTube. However, before it was taken down by the uploader, it was shared on the ‘Spotted: Coventry City’ Facebook page and viewed more than 50,000 times.
Police have now confirmed they are investigating the footage as “assault”, despite the fact nobody has actually reported the incident. They are trying to identify both the victim and the suspect.
Anyone with information can contact Coventry Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
