Glasgow police have caused outrage on their official Twitter account, after putting a picture of a mutilated hand on the page.
The tweet was intended to deter people from setting off fireworks in the coming weeks, and to shock them into realising how dangerous they can actually be.
However, the fact that the hand was mangled caused widespread outrage, with many people expressing their disgust and the tweet going viral.
They have now deleted the tweet.
Glasgow police also apologised for the tweet, claiming it was intended to show people how wrong bonfire night can go if they’re not careful.
