Porn Wookie Ron Jeremy Thinks Video Games Are Rotting Kids’ Brains

Usually when you want advice on limiting your kid’s video gaming habit, you turn to a porn lothario. That’s just good parenting. Thankfully, Ron Jeremy has some pretty solid opinions on the subject.

Ron Jeremy is world renowned for his goblin-like good looks and low slung joystick, but surprisingly, he’s not a fan of video games.

In a recent interview with Vice, Jeremy launched into a tirade about how much he hates the medium, and thinks that it’s rotting American kids’ brains. Presumably, Star Spangled Banner was playing in his head as he laid down the truth bombs.

He said:

I never play video games ever. I think they’re boring… While our kids are drinking beer, and playing video games, Asians are getting high SAT scores. If you look at Harvard, Yale, Stanford, it’s almost all Asian and Scandinavian. [This is not a fact] Not a lot of Americans there, and it’s on our soil. It’s just weird. Nothing wrong with video games recreationally, but our kids are living on it. You know, not even reading books any more.

The interview was discussing how the rights to Ron’s film Super Hornio Bros were bought by Nintendo so it would never circulate. Smart move by the Japanese company. Or it would have been, if the internet wasn’t such a big deal, and it’s pretty easy to get hold of a copy. There’s even a sequel.

If you can still look Jeremy in his mustachioed face knowing how much he hates video games, then more power to you. Personally I’ll never be able to have a solo session again knowing his stance on my favourite past-time.
