Donald Trump has vowed that the ‘era of patience’ with North Korea is now over and plans to meet Kim Jong-un with force.
The U.S President has pledged a ‘determined response’ to the threats posed by the dictator’s nuclear weapons programme as well as the human rights abuses by its communist regime.
Standing beside South Korean President Moon Jae-in in the White House Rose Garden, Trump said:
The North Korean dictatorship has no regard for the safety and security of its people or its neighbours. And has no respect for human life – and that’s been proven over and over again.

Donald Trump also recently attacked Kim Jong-un’s ‘brutal regime’ following the death of American student Otto Warmbier shortly after he was released from a North Korean prison.
22-year-old Warmbier spent 15 months in a North Korean prison after being sentenced to 15 years of hard labour for attempting to steal a propaganda poster from a hotel in January 2016.
Mr Moon agreed with Trump’s comments saying the the North needs to be met with a strong response.
Trump made is clear that his administration is working closely with South Korea, Japan and other partners to protect everyone ‘from this menace known as North Korea’.
