Prince William and Kate are expecting their third child, reports say.
Kensington Palace announced the pregnancy today on Twitter.
The Duchess is currently suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, as she did with her first two pregnancies.
The condition is essentially extreme morning sickness and stress.
She is not expected to be undertaking her public appearances whilst she is being cared for.
The official press release reads:
Their Royal Highness The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child.
The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.
It continues:
As with her previous two pregnancies, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in London today. The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace.
The couple had previously stated a desire to have three children that were close in age, and that seems to be going to plan.
