Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have trademarked their two-week-old baby son’s name, Psalm, allowing them to use it exclusively for any number of products they sell under their business empire.

Kerching.

According to TMZ, Kim K filed for ‘trademark protection’ of Psalm’s name under her company, meaning she can slap it on basically anything she sells now – from hair accessories to personal appearances to puzzles, pens and ‘collectible trading cards’.

The legal documents cover Psalm’s trademark protection on a comprehensive list of items, brace yourselves, which include: entertainment services, personal appearances, skin care, probiotic supplements, toy figures and doll accessories, computer software, clothing, baby bottles, furniture, strollers, beverageware, swaddling blankets, skin moisturizers, lotions, creams, bubble bath, fragrances, body powders, shower gels, body oils, skin serums, nail polish, nail polish remover, nail care preparations, puppets, puzzles, toy jewelry, toy cameras, toy food, bath toys, baby gyms, playground balls, electronic action toys, baby bouncers, baby changing tables, baby walkers, pillows, mirrors, cushions, picture frames… are you bored yet? Good, we’re not done.

It continues, as per TMZ, with playpens, baby carriers, cosmetic bags, toiletry cases, duffle bags, umbrellas, clocks, watches, key chains, calendars, books, photo albums, stationery, stickers, writing utensils and collectible trading cards.

In his two weeks on earth, Psalm has entered a wealth greater than any of us could dream of. Now he’s a certified brand-name he could raking in millions more for years to come.

The Kardashian-West’s received a lot of criticism for the now trademarked name, ‘Psalm’. Some felt the religious name wasn’t befitting the couple’s lifestyle.

Others speculated perhaps the name was a nod to Kanye’s Sunday Service at Coachella earlier this year, which is also a bit weird.

The move to trademark their infant son’s name has also been met with criticism, with Twitter users pointing out that the name was already trademarked by err, God?

While brand-naming your baby is maybe a ethically questionable, is anyone really surprised? Besides, at least Psalm will never be short of pocket money.

I wonder if North, Saint and Chicago are jealous of their baby brother’s branding?

The devil works hard, but the Kardashian-Wests work harder.
