Ubisoft have confirmed through their Rainbow Six Twitter account that Operation Dust Line, the next expansion for Rainbow Six Siege will be coming May 11.

While you’ll obviously have to wait till then to get your hands on it, Ubisoft are gonna be showing the content off during a Twitch stream this Saturday (May 7). There’s also a teaser available now, which you can watch at the bottom of the article.

So here’s what we know about the upcoming expansion so far: Operation Dust Line comes with two new operators. The first is a Defender named Valkyrie, a character who favours the SPAS-12 shotgun, and can deploy sticky cameras(which can then be used by any of her teammates).

We’ve also got Blackbeard, not the pirate but an Attacker who has a shield mounted to his weapon, and a Desert Eagle in his holster, making a great character for head on attacks.

You can feast your peepers on the aforementioned teaser just below. Dust Line takes place in the Middle East, a location well known for its dust (and its lines).

I should also point out that anyone with a season pass will get slightly earlier access to the new characters (during the week of May 9), though it hasn’t been confirmed exactly when.

This DLC is pretty much the exact opposite in terms of location to Operation Black Ice, the last expansion that was set on a frozen yacht.
