In possibly the weirdest investigation ever, police in Massachusetts are warning residents to be on the lookout for men challenging passers-by to rap battles.
Police told WCVB-TV that a group of men in a black SUV, thought to be in their late teens or early 20s, pulled up next to three teenage boys around 3pm Saturday afternoon.
One of the men got out of the car and started rapping, while the others asked the boys if they wanted to ‘spit some bars’ with them. When they declined, the men got back into the SUV and drove off, Fox News reports.
And apparently this calls for a police investigation.
A police spokesperson said:
Although this was suspicious behaviour and frightening to the boys, nothing made this appear to be an attempted abduction.
If anyone has any credible information about this could get in touch with us it would be appreciated.
An attempted abduction? Really? Clearly these guys just wanted a simple rap battle.
Nevertheless, residents in the area have been put on alert and have been asked not to interact with the men.
