American rapper, 6IX9INE, could be facing three years in prison, according to reports.
The 22-year-old, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, is known for his recent top 10 entry in the Billboard Hot 100 with the song ‘Fefe’, which features Nicki Minaj.
In 2015, Hernandez allegedly shared a sex video of a 13-year-old. He pleaded guilty to Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance.
The rapper was on probation, where he was ordered to not commit another crime for two years. He broke the terms by getting arrested twice.
In May, he was arrested for unlicensed driving and the alleged assault of a police officer.
In January, 6IX9INE was due to appear in court for a case in which he’s accused of choking a 16-year-old in Houston’s Galleria Mall. He did not turn up to the hearing, and so was then arrested in July.

According to Pitchfork, on August 3 the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office filed a letter to the judge in charge of the case, recommending the rapper be given one-to-three years in jail for his crimes.
Prosecutors also think Tekashi 6IX9INE should be registered as a sex offender.
He was taken into custody by police on Wednesday at JFK airport, New York, immediately after returning from the European leg of his tour.
Hernandez then appeared in court on Thursday (August 9).
Assistant District Attorney, Sara Weiss, told Manhattan Supreme Court:
He has violated his plea agreement. The defendant should be sentenced to a state prison sentence of one to three years.
The rapper posted to Instagram recently, referring to the fact he might end up in prison.
The caption read:
I’m giving you guys one last music video this Sunday before I go to jail forever :/
In July, the rapper was reportedly attacked, robbed and kidnapped after filming a music video in Brooklyn.
He was reportedly on his way home from the video shoot when he was followed by three men, who blocked the entrance to his home and forced him into their car.
The thieves then entered Hernandez’s home and stole $750,000 worth of jewellery and $15,000-$20,000 in cash.
The Brooklyn rapper said he suffered concussion from the attack, and said he was ‘just happy to be alive’.
NME report he later posted to Instagram, writing:
Yesterday morning I had a feeling that it was my day to die. May GOD strike me dead if I’m lying. Everything happens for a reason. I know you was there. Nothing materialistic is more important then LIFE.
Following his appearance in court on Thursday, Hernandez’s sentencing has been adjourned until October 2.
