On Saturday night, Wiz Khalifa was violently arrested by a group of police officers at Los Angeles International Airport and now the rapper has shared the controversial footage on social media for all to see.

Wiz’s crime? Allegedly refusing to get off a hoverboard. Yes, really.

The video, taken by an onlooker and shared on Khalifa’s Twitter and Instagram pages, shows three to six cops slamming the 27-year-old to the ground, as they yell at him to “stop resisting”.

The thing is, Khalifa doesn’t appear to be resisting at all in the video, and he even calmly says, “I’m not resisting, sir” but the trio of officers continue to shout at him and apply pressure to his back before they slap on the handcuffs.

Khalifa, real name Cameron Jibril Thomaz, captioned one Instagram clip, “3 cops yell stop resisting. Only thing to do is let em know. I’m not resisting, I’m doin what I want (sic).”

The chart topper also shared a clip of what happened just prior to his arrest, where he can be seen and heard talking calmly to law enforcement officers after he was apparently told to get off his hoverboard.

He said:

You can’t do nothing anyway. What’re you going to do put me into jail because I’m not going to listen to what you say? You can’t do nothing, you can talk and have all the conversations that you want to. You can end up on TMZ. You guys could be as famous as you want to be.

The clips (again) highlight a lot of issues about law enforcement in the U.S., but Khalifa seemed most concerned about the police’s hatred of hoverboards.

Writing on Twitter, he added:

All because I didn’t want to ditch the technology everyone will be using in the next 6 months. Do what you want kids. I stand for our generation and our generation is gonna be riding hover boards so if you don’t like it eat a d**k!

Erm, fair enough, we guess.
