Resident Evil 7 Banned Footage DLC Releases, Here’s What You Get

Only a week after the base game released, Resident Evil 7‘s first batch of DLC has dropped. So what is it?

Banned Footage Vol. 1 is essentially three separate pieces. You get two new mini-scenarios that focus on Sewer Gators luckless cameraman Clancy Javis, and a brand new hardcore difficulty mode called “Ethan Must Die”.

In “Nightmare”, Clancy must craft weapons and ammo as he faces off against hordes of enemies to survive until morning. A horde mode, if you will. And “Bedroom” has him trying to escape a locked bedroom in the Baker house, with Marguerite prowling around. Groovy.

“Ethan Must Die” is apparently completely separate from the main events of Resident Evil 7, and as the title suggests – has enemies out for Ethan’s blood at all costs. This mode unfortunately won’t be supported by PSVR on release. Boo.

If you have the Season Pass for Resi 7 on the PS4, you can start playing Banned Footage Vol. 1 straight away, while Banned Footage Vol. 2 will be heading our way next week on February 14. Xbox One and PC users will have to wait until February 21 for both.

If you don’t have the Season Pass but fancy trying Banned Footage Vol. 1  & 2, you can pick them up for £7.99 and £11.99 respectively.
