It can be argued as to whether Rihanna is a positive role model or not. While her songs and image can be seen as liberating and empowering some find them to be unnecessarily vulgar and vitriolic.

If the Bajan singer was here now she’d probably tell you ‘she is who she is’ and makes no apologies for it, it’s probably why she has so many fans across the world.

As someone who is constantly in the limelight, she fully embraces her ‘no f***s given’ attitude and it’s evident in her social media game too. In her most recent post, the B**** Better Have my Money singer posted unfiltered bikini snaps of herself and it has gained the adoration of her 62.1 million followers.

For an artist known for her looks as well as her hits, Rihanna’s latest post shows she’s not without her own flaws and blemishes on the outside. But instead of concealing with makeup or phone filter she fully embraces them.

The 30-year-old, who recently graced the cover of Vogue, proudly shows off her stretch marks and unshaven legs on the Gram.

In the comments, users praised her for showing others how to be confident in your own body and to not let the imperfections hold you back.

I’m so glad you can show the world the realness of a woman.

Another user posted:

If rihanna doesn’t need to shave her legs then I don’t either

Someone else added:

i love that i can see hair on your legs. your motivating woman [sic] everywhere

Last year someone made the silly mistake of trying to ‘fat shame’ her on Twitter, but if it’s one thing Rihanna knows who to do well – it’s reply with some sass of her own.

LA-based writer Chris Sage asked on Twitter:

Is Rihanna going to make being fat the hot new trend?

She fired back with an Instagram post showing two pictures of Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane, with the headline ‘If you can’t handle me at my 2007 Gucci Mane you don’t deserve me at my 2017 Gucci Mane’.

In her Vogue interview Rihanna revealed she and rapper Drake were no longer friends. The ill feelings stemming from the 2016 VMAs when the 6 God star presented her with the prestigious Vanguard award.

It was all going smoothly but things soon went very cringe-worthy when Drake started professing his undying love for Rihanna. You could see it in her eyes, she was thinking ‘What in the hell do you think you’re doing. Just shut up and hand me my damn award fool!’

At one point he even tried going in for a full-blown kiss on the lips but she straight-up curved him like he was in dire need of a Tic Tac or two.

Rihanna told Vogue:

The VMAs is such a fan-focused awards show, so having that energy around me, and knowing the people who had received the award in the past, made it feel like a big deal.

Waiting through that speech was probably the most uncomfortable part. I don’t like too many compliments. I don’t like to be put on blast.

She also clarifies how even though she and Drake are no longer friends, they ‘aren’t ‘enemies either’, stating ‘it is what it is’.
