After winning the title of European Youth Capital 2015, the city decided to implement a series of events to celebrate, and offering free rides was just one of them.

The idea was actually proposed by Victor Miron, who lives in the north western city, and is a self confessed book lover.

The scheme ran for a week last June, and was a huge success in Cluj-Napoca, with Miron claiming that he wanted to ‘encourage more people to read on public transport’.

It quickly went viral on Facebook, and there were plenty of people, both young and old that took part in the amazing idea.
