As a strikingly good looking and funny Hollywood couple, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively appear to have the perfect marriage.

Their online banter has long since reached legendary proportions, with each of the actors having a natural talent for trolling each other.

However – as in every relationship – a line needs to be drawn. And could it be Ryan has just pole-vaulted straight over it?

Appearing at the San Diego Comic-Con, 41-year-old Ryan gave a little insight into how he kicks back of an evening; watching back-to-back Quentin Tarantino films like the true movie buff he is.

Chatting to the crowds of fans, the charismatic Deadpool star asked:

Do you ever do that thing where you watch, like, every Quentin Tarantino movie? I’ve been kind of doing that.

The cheeky actor then added:

My wife’s been shooting a film overseas so I’ve been having a ton of time to pretend like I’m watching the kids. She’s probably filing divorce papers as we speak.

This isn’t the first time Ryan has expressed his admiration for Tarantino. Indeed, back in 2009, he declared the Pulp Fiction director to be his ‘dream director’ for Deadpool.

Speaking with MTV News, the IRL Merc with a Mouth revealed:

You think directors for a movie like this and you immediately picture [Quentin] Tarantino or somebody like that,

Obviously Tarantino is a guy that likes to direct his own material, so there’s a good chance he wouldn’t be the guy. We all have our lists of dream directors.

Ryan is a guy who has previously joked about burying his children in the sand on a beach and leaving them there.

I’m certain he is a way too much of a diligent parent to ignore his children in favour of Reservoir Dogs.

Indeed, he has previously ‘jested’ about using his wife as a human shield to protect his children, while appearing on the Late Show With David Letterman:

I used to say to [Blake], ‘I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you.’ I would say that to my wife.

And the second I looked in that baby’s eyes, I knew in that exact moment that if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby.

According to Variety, Ryan also used his time at Comic-Con to press for more LGBT characters in the Deadpool universe:

I certainly think that this universe… needs to represent and reflect the world in very real ways,

The great thing about Deadpool is that we’re allowed to do things that other superhero movies don’t necessarily do. It’s something that I’d love to see more of, certainly through Wade, certainly through this universe because it’s something that we’re building out more.

Reynolds was responding to a to a question from a fan about whether future Deadpool movies would include more gay or bisexual characters.

Deadpool after all has been described as pansexual, with Reynolds questioning the superhero’s ‘sexuality for years’, The Guardian reports.

I personally love how Ryan Reynolds has just as much of an appetite for binge watching as the rest of us. I hope he one day gets to live his dream of working alongside his favourite director.
