Though 2016 has been pretty shite for everyone else, Ryan Reynolds has had quite a banger.
He starred in one of the year’s biggest films, Deadpool, welcomed his second daughter, and has raked in numerous awards.
Reynolds was also the star of an accidentally hilarious photo including Taylor Swift and then-boyfriend Tom Hiddleston taken on Independence Day.
Twitter exploded with laughter at Ryan’s apathetic eyes, and he has now explained why he looked so miserable…
The world was speculating at what depressing thoughts were passing through Ryan’s mind.
Speaking to EW, Ryan has finally clarified what was going on in that photo…and it turns out it’s just his face.
In his beautifully self-deprecating manner, the Deadpool actor said:
No that’s a problem I’ve had all my life. If I’m not aware a photo is being taken, my natural resting face is one of a man dying.
I had no idea somebody was taking a photo. Therefore I was resting comfortably in my persona of a man whose soul is visibly exiting this earth.
That’s right everyone, his natural face is that of a dying man.
