You probably didn’t hear about it, but yeah, Avengers: Infinity War is now a thing. It got released a few days ago with very little publicity.
Of course I’m joking, I’ve seen more about the Avengers in the past week than I have in the previous twenty-one years of my life.
Avengers: Infinity War is so popular, it sold more tickets than the previous seven Marvel films combined, and this was two weeks before it was even released.
Those seven films encompass; Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarok, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, Doctor Strange, Captain America: Civil War, and Ant-Man. Woah.
Ryan Reynolds has recently shared his attempt to get into the Avengers’ team on Twitter.
Posting to the social media site, Reynold’s revealed the rejection letter Deadpool got when he applied to be part of the team.
The tweet was captioned:
From a guy who never knows when to quit, I’m glad you guys never did. Congrats #Avengers.
The rejection letter reads:
Re: Joining The Avengers
No.
Absolutely not.
Go bother Prof. X.
No.
Sincerely,
Tony Stark.
Hilarious.
By now, everybody, I’m sure, knows the ending of Avengers: Infinity War is pretty damn intense.
One person, somewhere in the world, even passed out at the film’s climax.
Posted onto Twitter, the picture shows a cinema lobby, some food and drink stands, and the general pinkish vibes cinemas usually have.
So let’s just go ahead and assume somebody did in fact actually pass out at the end of the film – check out the tweet below:
The movie, which along with Avengers 4, will serve as the grand finale to the MCU, sees Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) Captain America (Chris Evans) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finally go up against Thanos (Josh Brolin) as he attempts to assemble the Infinity Gauntlet.
To fight off the evil Titan the three will assemble the biggest Avengers team yet featuring Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and countless other heroes from across the cinematic universe.
The movies, of course, also, star Stan Lee.
Avengers: Infinity War co-director, Joe Russo, confirmed the 95-year-old comic book legend will appear in Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, as well as Avengers 4.
Speaking to BBC Radio Scotland, Russo – who’s previously directed both Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War – revealed the plans for Lee’s appearances.
He said:
So, Stan, typically we try to get him out – he doesn’t love to fly – so we try to get him out for his cameos around the same time.
So if we have other movies shooting on the same lot that we’re on, for instance Ant-Man 2 or Avengers 4, we group his cameos together and then move him from one set to the next and kind of get him through his cameos in one day.
