If someone told you sniffing farts was okay, you’d probably say ‘fuck you buddy’, but a study carried out by Exeter University now says that sniffing ‘fart gas’ could fight illnesses. Get the fuck out.

Hydrogen sulphide is one of many of the gases produced by bacteria as it breaks down in your stomach and it’s this gas (in tiny amounts of course) that could help stave off cancer, strokes, heart attacks and even dementia.

In large doses the gas is toxic, but these small amounts can help protect cells, helping to preserve mitochondria which drive energy production in blood vessel cells and regulate inflammation.

Researcher Dr Mark Wood told the Daily Mail:

Although hydrogen sulphide is well known as a pungent, foul-smelling gas in rotten eggs and flatulence, it is naturally produced in the body and could in fact be a healthcare hero.

Hmm, well I can’t be seeing doctors farting in your face any time soon…
