Fantastic celebrity weirdo Shia LaBeouf has gone and done it again.

This time the actor turned performance artist is in a lift in Oxford, going up and down for 24 hours because why not.

Shia fans can watch him live via a YouTube stream – he’s staying in the lift from 9am on Friday until 9am Saturday, leaving only on Friday evening to deliver a speech at the Oxford Union, the Evening Standard reports.

But don’t worry, once the talk is over Shia will be straight back in his lift at the EC Oxford language school in Gloucester Green, along with fellow collaborators Nastja Rönkkö and Luke Turner.

Here’s the live stream, get involved – as I write this, 2,448 Shia enthusiasts are watching his antics:

So far he’s been spending his time talking to students about art, as well as posing for a few selfies. According to the Standard questions so far have ranged from ‘what’s your favourite Saturday?’ to playing a game of ‘snog, marry, avoid’.

The caption on the livestream video says visitors are able to join the three artists in the lift at any time, and they’re invited to:

address the artists, the debating chamber, and the internet, so that their collective voices may form an extended, expansive and egalitarian Oxford Union address.

The performance and access to the Union debating chamber will be free and open to the public for the full 24 hours.

Obviously this isn’t the first time Shia has done something like this, last November he livestreamed himself watching his entire back catalogue of films.

And in December he opened a call centre in Liverpool, where he asked people to ring in and ‘touch his soul’.

And people are loving his latest offering:
