Shocking footage has emerged of the moment a family was knocked down by a hit and run driver while crossing a road in East London.
The crash, which took place around 2.55pm on Thursday, 27th October saw a 50-year-old woman, 12-year-old boy and 11-year-old girl mowed down by what appears to be a Ford Focus.
Newham People's Alliance/FacebookThe other two dived out of the way and went to get help following the incident.
Instead of checking whether the family were okay, the driver and passenger made a run for it and abandoned their vehicle at the scene.
Newham People's Alliance/FacebookThe two children were rushed to hospital with their grandmother following the hit and run, who is believed to have suffered a broken back and legs. The children’s injuries have been described as ‘not life-threatening’.
No arrests have been made but inquires continue. Police are asking for anyone with information to call 101.
