Poor old Lekshmi L thought the niggling sensation in her ear was just a bit of random discomfort when she woke up after falling asleep on her veranda. Little did she know the truth.
She initially asked her daughter to have a look if there was anything stuck in her ear. She found nothing, even after digging around with her finger.
Once the pain became unbearable Lekshmi’s husband dashed her over to hospital to seek further attention.
Arriving at Colombia Asia Hospital in Hebbal, India, doctors immediately went to work on her ear, discovering the horrible truth that she had a fucking spider in her ear. Watch as the little cheeky bastard just casually surfaces from his newfound home.
Lekshmi said:
I was terrified as I could feel movement of a creature in my ear. The acute earache followed by sharp pains suffocated me. I couldn’t think of anything and was petrified when the doctor confirmed presence of a spider in my ear.
Consultant ENT at Columbia Hospital, Dr. Santosh Shivaswamy told MailOnline:
It is common to see emergency room visits due to the presence a foreign object in the ear and it takes a simple procedure to remove the object.
However, when a living insect makes its way inside a human ear, the patient’s anxiety makes it difficult to continue the procedure. It was rare to see a live spider moving inside someone’s ear canal.
