Another shocking police shooting in the U.S. has been captured on video and it’s brutal…

On Saturday morning in Miami Beach, Florida, an officer killed a man during a confrontation on a busy street, with a passer-by shooting the graphic video and posting it on Instagram.

Police started looking for the suspect after a report of a bank robbery. He was then spotted a block away from the bank and went into a barber shop and came out with a straight-edged razor, police Chief Daniel Oates said at a press briefing.

The man raised his hand with the razor and was shot twice by an armed officer.

The video shows the man taking a couple of steps forward, placing his hand on the front of a parked police car. Moments later, the officer fires the rifle and the man clutches his chest when he falls to the ground.

The police said the man who was shot was Hispanic and so was the officer, a six-year veteran. The identity of neither has yet been released.

Miami-Dade police, not Miami Beach police, will investigate the shooting, Oates said. The FBI and Miami Beach police will investigate the attempted bank robbery.

Mayor Philip Levine told KTLA5: “It’s a horrible, an isolated incident and it’s tragic for everybody involved.”

Oates went on to say that the suspect has walked into a Bank of America branch and handed a staff member that he had a bomb. Apparently he left the bank without getting any money and was then found in a barber shop.

The man first of all refused to come out, but he then emerged shirtless and armed with a razor. Oates said: “He was challenged by the officers in the street and at some point during that confrontation he did raise his hand with a straight-edge razor in it and he was shot.”

In other cases, police officers have been prosecuted when fatal shootings were caught on video.

With the police in London being praised for the way they dealt with a terror suspect at a Tube station, maybe U.S. forces could learn a thing or two from their more cautious and restrained approach.
