Simon Cowell halted the live recording of The X Factor last night, to comment on the Paris attacks.
Speaking directly to the camera, the music mogul asked viewers to stay safe following the shocking events that unfolded.
He said:
In light of what happened in Paris we’d like to send out thoughts and prayers to everyone affected in Paris, last night. Please stay safe.
This follows his tweet earlier that day:
Thinking of everyone in Paris. Praying for the families of the victims. Please stay safe. #prayforparis

However, Nick Grimshaw came under fire along with Children In Need for not mentioning the Paris attacks until midnight during the telephon, hours after the brutal attacks unfolded.
Paris suffered a series of terrorist attacks across the city on Friday night, including a gig at Bataclan concert hall and outside the Stade De France, killing 129 people.
