The comedy legends behind ‘The Cornetto Trilogy‘ and best friend goals Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are reuniting for a brand new comedy project.

During an interview with JoBlo Nick admitted that he and I Simon are working together once again on a top secret comedy project.

Nick said:

Simon and I are working on something. We’re trying to do something a bit special at the moment. It’s a work in progress, and we may have some more information on it later in the year.

Right now we don’t know a lot about the project but we’ve got our fingers crossed it’s something for the big screen and will involve Edgar Wright, the director and co-writer of the Cornetto trilogy.

What we do know is that it’ll have something to do with Simon and Nick’s infamous love of sci-fi, they wrote the movie Paul together, and may take some inspiration from monster of the week shows like Buffy or X-Files.

He added:

I think I’d [want] to do something in the sci-fi world. Something a bit ghost hunter-y, or a bit Monster of the Week in a comedy. With two guys and a girl, it’s like the X-Files, but they’re not affiliated with any government agency.

Unfortunately with the boy’s busy schedule we’re most likely in for a long wait before we see the Cornetto-Files (Name needs work I’ll admit) but it it’s anything like their previous work we’re in for a treat.
