Photos of an army dog and his human partner have gone viral, after they were both treated side by side in hospital.

Army Spc. Andrew Brown and Rocky the dog were injured in Afghanistan when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded during an operation.

Both Brown and Rocky are being treated in the same room at the Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C, with the 89th Military Police Brigade posting the following image to their Facebook page.
